Advanced Placement

Types of AP Math Courses:
  AP Calculus
   AP Statistics

Introduction

1.The Advanced Placement (AP) Program was first introduced in 1955. The examination is developed and delivered by College Board. Students studying in high school can apply for AP program and earn college credit in advance.
2.The college preparedness that students show through AP Test help them in getting into a college of choice and to do away with some introductory college course.
3.AP Score is accepted for admission across colleges in United States and Canada, Europe and other parts of the world.
4.AP Score is also considered by colleges and universities for award of scholarships.

  AP Calculus

Explore the concepts, methods, and applications of differential and integral calculus, including topics such as parametric, polar, and vector functions, and series. Students will perform experiments and investigations and solve problems by applying their knowledge and skills.

 Skills Students will Learn
1.Determining expressions and values using mathematical procedures and rules
    2.Connecting representations
    3. Justifying reasoning and solutions
4.Using correct notation, language, and mathematical conventions to    communicate results or solutions

  AP Statistics

Learn about the major concepts and tools used for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. You’ll explore statistics through discussion and activities, and you'll design surveys and experiments.

 Skills Students will Learn
    1. Selecting methods for collecting or analyzing data
    2. Describing patterns, trends, associations, and relationships in data
    3. Using probability and simulation to describe probability distributions and define uncertainty in statistical inference
    4. Using statistical reasoning to draw appropriate conclusions and justify claims
